🇺🇸 Experience the Essence of Small Town Community at the Hamilton July 4th Parade. 🧨
We’re proud to help promote one of the region’s small-town gems. Hamilton puts a unique spin on their July 4th celebrations. Discover a full day of family-friendly fun. Shop local vendors, finding a variety of goods for you and your family to enjoy.
Watch the parade lineup at Wings Way and support local organizations while showing your patriotic pride. Next, enjoy DownBeat Percussion, followed by Nate the Great performing magic tricks to leave the kids mesmerized. After a fun-filled day, relax and wrap up the celebration with a fireworks display at Colgate University.
Make plans to take a short drive and spend the day exploring a welcoming community guaranteed to leave a lasting impression on you and your family. We’ll post updates and news as the 4th of July gets closer.
If you’re a vendor and want to join the market, or an organization that wants to participate in the parade, contact Chelsea or use the form in the link below.

Governor Hochul announced nearly $8 million being awarded across 6 Mohawk Valley areas through the Restore New York Communities Initiative, including $3.5 million towards tornado recovery in Rome. $1 million was awarded to Amsterdam, Booneville, Cooperstown, and Herkimer, with $469,593 awarded to Richfield Springs. The funds are awarded to help reduce blights, encourage area investments, and help with community restoration.
A local Italian favorite is celebrating its 25th anniversary on June 2, 2025. Since 2000, Rosa’s Trattoria has served traditional Italian food to Utica, keeping the family-owned pasta and hospitality traditions alive. Rosa’s will celebrate with a ribbon cutting by the Utica Chamber of Commerce. I've enjoyed a few great meals working at Kunkel many years ago.
A $5,000 contribution from the Community Foundation will help the Rome Baseball Association continue to serve the community by repairing and maintaining DeLutis Field Complex in Rome. The funds will go to continued improvements and repairing damage from the July 2024 tornado.
Beginning Tuesday, May 27, and stretching six weeks, paving will cause reduced lanes on parts of Route 12 in Waterville. The closures are expected between Putnam St and Daytonville Rd between 7 AM and 5 PM on weekdays, weather permitting. Expect flaggers and lane closures. Expect delays or use an alternate route.

Do you have a bunch of stuff to get rid of? A local family-friendly “Rage Room” is looking for donations.
Rage-n-Relax is one of the area’s hidden gems. They offer a unique style of rage room. While they offer the standard rage room, smashing objects while listening to intense music of your choice, they offer a splatter room too.
While we’ll do a more in-depth piece later, we want to share that they need donated items to help create memorable experiences for their participants. Here’s a list of items you can donate.
Children’s toys.
Recycling.
Trash cans and plastic goods.
Electronics like flat screens, phones, computers, and old gadgets.
Glassware like bottles, decor like vases and ashtrays, and kitchenware like plates, bowls, and cups.
Small appliances like printers, coffee makers, and kitchen appliances.
Chairs, benches.
If you want to check them out, click the link below to make a reservation. They have a splatter room too.
